Hoffmann, Nelda (24 May 1913 - 30 Oct. 2004)

NEILLSVILLE - Nelda Hoffmann, 91, of Neillsville died Oct. 30, 2004, at Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and from 10:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church.

She was born on May 24, 1913, in the town of Weston to Richard and Ida (Dux) Hagedorn. She was united in marriage to Carl F. Hoffmann on March 28, 1933, in La Crosse. Carl preceded her in death. Nelda became a cook's assistant at St. John's Lutheran School for a number of years and from there she went to Memorial Hospital as a dietary assistant until she retired in 1985 at the age of 72.

She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Thompson of Rockford, Ill., and Mary Sue (Lawrence) Kyle of Neillsville; one son, Lewis (Nancy) Hoffmann of Fond du Lac; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Meier, Las Vegas, Nev., and Lorraine (Bob) Shaw, Neillsville; and one brother, Clarence (Anola) Hagedornn, Fond du Lac.
