THORP -Steven Ambrose Dus, 88, of Thorp, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Oakbrook Health and Rehabilitation in Thorp.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born Dec. 7, 1915, in Bellinger to Leon and Stephania (Wiercusz) Dus Sr. His wife, Betty, preceded him in death. He worked on the family farm and was a lumberjack before starting Thorp Lumber Co. and Thorp Flour and Feed.
He is survived by four children, Dean (Doreen) Dus, Cadott, Janet (Jim) Widmer, Medford, Sharon (Ken) Sliska, Holcombe, and Lisa Dus, Gilman; and four grandchildren.
