Johnson, Fernando (10 Jan. 1855 - 8 Jan. 1932)

Fernando Johnson one of the old residents of Clark county passed away jan. 8, 1932, at Tony Wis., where he was visiting his children. He had reached the age of 76 years, 11 months and 28 days.

Mr. Johnson was born at Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania, Jan. 10, 1855. He came to Clark county when a boy and has made this locality his home ever since.

On Dec. 6, 1887, he was married to Ida Moh at Maple Works. He followed the usual work of early days, being employed in logging camps, and engaged in farming for many years. He was a man of sterling honesty and reliable in everyway.

He is survived by his wife and nice of the 13 children that were born to them. Those living are Frank, Theodore, Elmer of Milwaukee; Grant of Granton; Glenn, Alfred, John and Elsa of Tony, Wis.; Mrs. Pete Simon, Waukesha; also two sisters, Kate Johnson of Neillsville, and Mrs. Lavine Downer of Granton, and one brother Emery of Rhame, N. D., also eight grandchildren, five nephews and two nieces.

The funeral service was held at Windfall church Granton, Monday, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
