Wolff, Mr./ Mrs. John (50th - 11 Jan. 1932)
Mr and Mrs. John Wolff celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding on Monday, Jan. 11, at their home at the corner of Grand Avenue and Fourth Street. A number of relatives came to join with them in the observation of the event.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Wolff were born in Sheboygan county. When he was 22 years of age Mr. Wolff came to Neillsville to work for Thos. Lowe in his meat market. On Jan. 11, 1882, he returned to Sheboygan county where the marriage took place. Soon after they came here to live and Neillsville has been their home most of the time since.
About 30 years ago Mr. Wolff went into the meat business for himself, continuing for 24 years. Since then he has not engaged in any active business. They have two children, George Wolff of Chicago and Mrs. E. J. Roberts of Marshfield.
Those who came from a distance to join in the celebration were George Wolff, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Roberts and children John and Glen of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. John Juneau, Dr and Mrs. Block and son Arno, Dr and Mrs. DeMunck and son Jackie, all of Milwaukee, and Otto Twig of Sheboygan.
