Nebel, Henry (7 OCT 1880 - 28 Apr 1970)

Granton, Clark County, Wis. - Henry Nebel, 89, of Chili, Clark County, died early today (Tuesday) at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church at Chili. The Rev. L. L. McCormick, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Gilbertson Funeral Home at Granton beginning at noon Wednesday until noon Thursday, and then at the church.

Mr. Nebel was born Oct. 7, 1880, in Hanover, Germany, and at the age of 12 moved with his parents tot he United State, settling near Oswego, Ill. At the age of 14 he moved to the Chili area and lived here since that time.

He was married Dec. 20, 1906, at Marshfield to the former Ida Lindow, who preceded him in death Aug. 28, 1961. The couple farmed in the town of Fremont until retiring and moving into Chili.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frieda Roehl, Loyal; Mrs. Marion (Mildred) Lee, Chili; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ferdinand Nebel, Lomira, Wis.

He was also preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, three sisters and a brother.
