Wetzel, Louis L. (3 Apr 1910 - 19 NOV 2004)

Louis Lester Wetzel, 94, rural Greenwood, died Nov. 19, 2004, at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the West Side Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood. The Rev. Mark Schwinn officiated. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Louis Lester Wetel was born April 3, 1910, north of Greenwood, to Otto and Edel [nee Schoenwetter] Wetzel. He was well-known for his beautiful fieldstone fireplaces and brick masonry. His interests included hunting, fishing, gardening, logging, making firewood and writing poetry.

Survivors include his six children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
