Schamber-Lautenbach, Shirle S. (? - 3 May 2004)

Shirle S. Schamber-Lautenbach, 77, Tarpon Springs, Fla., died Monday, May 3, 2004, at her home.

Shirle S. Schamber was born in Marshfield. She came to Florida 46 years ago from Kalamazoo, Mich. She was an Army veteran and received an honorable discharge in 1950, leaving the service as a second lieutenant. She used her nursing skills in the Korean War. She was a 1948 graduate of Boulder Colorado Nursing School, and a graduate of the Nursing College, Milwaukee. She was a substance abuse counselor while working at Sun Coast Hospital and a unit supervisor at Mease Hospital, Dunedin, Fla. She was also a member of the National Audubon Society.

Survivors include one son, Michael Sweeney, St. Petersburg, Fla.; one daughter, Annette [Berkley] Badger, Tarpon Springs, Fla.; one sister, Rochelle Caitlin, Holcombe; and three grandchildren, Christopher Badger, Kelsey Badger, and Katie Badger, all of Tarpon Springs, Fla.
