Portz, Neoma (11 DEC 1909 - 9 Sep 1983)
Granton, Clark County, Wis. - A former Chili, Clark County resident, Mrs. Roy (Neoma) Portz, 73, of Minocqua, died at 11:20 p.m. Friday at Lakeland Manor Nursing Home, Woodruff.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, with the Rev. Frank R. Heinbaugh of Zion United Methodist Church, Marshfield, officiating. Burial will be in Yolo Cemetery.
Visitations will be at Gilbertson Funeral home from 3-9 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday until time of services.
Mrs. Portz, the former Neoma Mundt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Amelia Pischer) Mundt, was born Dec. 11, 1909 in the town of Fremont, where she received her education.
She and Roy Portz were married Oct. 27, 1935 at Chili. He died March 21, 1977. They had farmed in the town of Fremont, later going to Chili and then to Minocqua.
Surviving are two sons, Darrel of Cocoa, Fla., and Fred of Minocqua; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Lamont Pischer, Yakima, Wash., and Raymond Pischer, Chili.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother.
