Klemish, Barbara (11 NOV 1828 - 27 Feb 1912)
Mrs. Barbara Klemish died at the home of her son Henry in Garden Valley, Feb. 27, 1912, at the advanced age of 83 years, 3 months and 16 days. Miss Barbara Mattiche was born in Austria Nov. 11, 1828, and was united in marriage to Joseph Klemish in 1856. They came to America in '73, residing one years in Eau Claire, and then moving to Garden Valley, where she has since resided. Her husband died in 1891. This union was blessed with eight children, four of whom survive: Mrs. Nick Kelsh and Henry Klemish of Garden Valley; Mrs. W. F. Leiser of Alma Center; and Joseph Klemish of Spokane, Wash. The funeral was held at the Catholic church at Alma Center March 1st, conducted by Rev. Fr. Welkman, and the remain were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery by the side of her husband.
