Metzger, Ernestine (10 Augl 1847 - 26 Jul 1914)

Mrs. Ernestine Metzger died at her home in this village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) Sunday forenoon, after a short illness, at the age of 66, death being due to paralysis, followed by heart failure.

Mrs. Metzger was born at Buzlaw, Pommerania, Germany on Aug. 10, 1847. While still a child, she moved to this country with her parents and located near Sheboygan. In 1871 she was married to Henry Metzger and five children were born to them, only two of whom are living now, George Metzger and Mrs. George Putnam.

The funeral was held Wednesday from St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Moecker officiating and was conducted by Undertaker E. J. Fuchsgruber. Interment was made in the Baptist Cemetery.
