DORCHESTER HERALD (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) 11/19/1915 Weitzman, Julius
(30 Dec 1846 - 15 NOV 1915) Died at the
Marshfield Hospital of ulcers of the stomach, on Monday Nov. 15,
1915, Julius Weitzman, aged sixty-eight years. Interment was made
at the Lutheran Cemetery at Stetsonville Thursday afternoon, Rev.
Hillermann of Medford officiating, E. J. Fuchsgruber conducting the
funeral. Mr. Weitzman was
born in Germany Dec. 30, 1846 and came to this country while still
quite young. He came to this community (Dorchester, Clark County,
Wis.) shortly afterward and bought a farm, on which he has lived
until his death. He leaves to mourn him a wife and seven
children. He was a man of
generous impulses and never forgot the hospitable ways of the
pioneer. The stranger, even though a beggar, never failed to find
food and shelter if he sought it at his hands, and he was at home
by the bedside of the sick and delighted in all kinds and
neighborly offices. He had born adversity bravely and enjoyed
prosperity quietly. He had filled the various relations of life, as
son, husband, brother, friend, and filled them well. Who can do
more? People from a
distance who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. George Meyers
of Coleraine, Minn., his son, Ernst of Fifield and Mrs. John
Zastrow. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
