Fredericka Weingartner died at her home here Saturday, Jan. 1st,
1916, of pneumonia, aged 81 years, 9 months and 7 days. Deceased was born
March 25, 1834 in Dalech, Sachsen, and in 1857 was married to
August Trotzer. Mr. Trotzer's health was failing so they moved to
America in hopes of his recovery. They settled in New York in 1860
and in 1869 moved to Port Washington where he died in 1872. To this union was
born nine children, two of whom survive her, Mrs. Dorothea Girdwood
and Fred Trotzer. In 1873 she was
married to John Weingartner, and to this union was born one son,
Jacob. Her second husband died about five years after they were
married at Milwaukee and shortly afterward she came to Dorchester,
Clark County, Wis., where she has made her home ever since. The last services
were held Tuesday at the German Lutheran Church, Rev. Moecker
officiating. She was a member
of the Ladies Aid, who in a body, marched to the church to pay
their last respects to the departed and loved mother. People from out of
town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Dorothea Girdwood, Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Trotzer, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bibby, all of Wausau;
