DORCHESTER HERALD (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) 01/28/1916 Hagelschur,
Bernard (25 Mar 1892 - 23 Jan 1916) On Sunday morning,
at 2:30 o'clock, at the home of his father, Anton Hagelschur,
occurred the death of Bernard Hagelschur, aged twenty-four years,
due to tuberculosis. Deceased was born
at Duellen, Minn., on March 25, 1892 and when 10 years old came to
this community (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) with his parents
who settled on a farm two and one-quarter miles southwest of
town. He had been ailing
for the past two years, but for some time, when most young men
under his circumstances would give up, he seemed active in his
pursuits. He was a young man of quiet disposition having his own
way of extracting merriment from life as it went along and to know
him was to like him. He leaves to mourn
him, a brother, seven sisters and father, his mother having
preceded him in death about four years ago. Funeral services
were held at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Louis Catholic
Church, Rev. E. A. Beyer officiating, the Catholic Order of
Foresters, of which he was a member, having charge of the function.
Interment was made at the Catholic Cemetery. People from out of
town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Matt Jackels of
Chilton; Wis., Mr. Anton Micke of Thorp; M. K. Baettie of Antigo,
and a sister, Miss Anna of Antigo. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
