read) Moritz Ruhmer, one
of the early settlers here (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.), died
at Sheboygan on the 18th of april, 1916, at the age of 86
years. June 1st, last
year, Mr. and Mrs. Ruhmer celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary
in the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends who
gathered from far and near for the happy occasion. Moritz Ruhmer was
born in Germany in 1830, and in 1879, 37 years ago, moved his
family onto a farm two miles west of town, where they made their
home until ten years ago when he moved to Sheboygan. He is survived by
his widow and children: Mrs. C. A. Dean of?, Mrs. M. E. Blaisdel of
Eau Claire, Mrs. Geo Peters of Illinois; the Misses Bertha and
Martha of Sheboygan; G Ruhmer of Clinto and E. H. Ruhmer of
Stetsonville. Funeral services
