JUN 1916) On Wednesday at
2:00 at the Evangelical Lutheran St. Peter's Church was solemnized
the marriage of Miss Alma A. Laack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust
Laack, to Mr. Edward Stock of Colby, Rev. F. H. Moecker pronouncing
the ceremony which united the lives of these estimable young
people. The bride was
attired in a beautiful gown of crepe de chene and carried a bouquet
of roses and ferns and was attended by the Misses Bertha Stock and
Rose Laack. Immediately after
the ceremony the young couple left for Colby where they had
pictures taken and upon returning were tendered a delicious dinner
at the home of the bride's parents. After dinner the
guests enjoyed an evening of dancing with music by the Ragtime
orchestra, until the small hours of the morning. Mr. and Mrs. Stock
are well known in our community and need no introduction suffice it
to say that the best wishes of the entire community goes with them
to their new home near Colby where the groom purchased a farm some
time ago. Guests from out of
town that attended the wedding were: the groom's grandparents of
Curtiss; Aug. Kluve of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Daeke and
children of Milan; Mrs. Wm. Kuehl of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
Blaschka of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Johnson of Curtiss; Miss Ella
