(13 Mar 1860 - 7 Augl 1916) (The micro-film of
this obituary missed the left part of the obituary, so I have just
paraphrased what I could read) Died, at her home
west of town, Monday morning at 7 o'clock, Mrs. John Marette, aged
fifty-six, her death being to a stroke which she suffered the week
before. Deceased was born
March 13, 1860 in Belgium and when eleven years old came to this
country with her parents who settled at Appleton. In 1891 she was
married at Appleton to John Marette to which union was born seven
children, four of who died in infancy. In 1899, seventeen
years ago, they moved to Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., and settle
on a farm one-quarter of a mile west where she lived until
death. Beside her
husband, two sons, ? and Nicholas and one daughter have died. She
is survived by three children, Mrs. Peter Massonett and Mrs. Peter
Decker, both of Appleton, and Mrs. Katherine Parringnon, who lives
