Gutwasser, Alice (10 Augl 1877 - 18 JUN 1918)

The funeral of Mrs. Alice Gutwasser, who died of cancer at Chippewa Falls, June 18, 1918, was held in this village Saturday, June 22, and interment made in the Dorchester Cemetery, Rev. Father Katigar officiating.

Deceased, who was the wife of Arthur Gutwasser and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius LeClaire, of this village, was born at Fond du Lac August 10, 1877, and was married to husband who now survives her Sept. 7, 1909. Of this union there are two children, Velma and Leonard.

She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius LeClaire, four brothers, George and Wilfred of Dorchester, Arthur of Tripoli, Ed of Sunset, Idaho, and three sisters, Olive of Cornell, Mrs. Matt Kramer of Abbotsford, and Lelah of Wauwatosa.

Children of her former marriage to Coney Piper, who died several years ago, there remain three children, Forest, Mona and Loanthe, the first named being now in France with the allied armies.

Some of the out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral are: Mr. and Mrs. Du Mars and daughter, Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Hahn, Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. George Tieder, Mrs. Crisky, Mrs. Amo, Park Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Joel LeClaire, Fifield, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. LeClaire, Tripoli, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Premeau, Westboro, Mr. and Mrs. Ellingson, Milan, Miss Lelah LeClaire, Wauwatosa, Miss Olive LeClaire, Cornell.
