Woempner died at home three miles southeast of this village
(Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) last Thursday morning at 2:30
o'clock at the age of 77 years. She had been
ailing for the past year and for the last month was confined to her
bed most of the time. Deceased was born
in Hanover, Germany, Feb. 15, 1841, and in June 1881 came to
America and with her husband settled on the farm where she died.
She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Charles F. Woempner;
two sons, Charles G. and Fred, and one daughter, Mrs. John
Dallenbach, all of the town of Mayville, Clark County. The funeral was
held at the home at 1:00 Saturday and at 2:00 at the White Church
where short services were conducted by the Rev. Marks. The remains
were laid to rest in Union Cemetery and was in charge of funeral
director Fuchsgruber. The many friends join with the Herald in
