Dudei, Ben (21 Oct. 1872 - 24 Jan. 1932)
Ben Dudei died at his home in the town of Grant, Sunday, Jan. 24, after a brief illness with pneumonia.
Mr. Dudei was born in Germany October 21, 1872. About 43 years ago he came to this country with three brothers and a sister. He soon after began to work on farms and in lumber camps. He bought land in the town of Grant and began to develop a farm. In 1900 he was married to Mrs. Martha Worchel. She died in September 1912. In September 1916 he was married to Amelia Hillert, who survives. Him. He had no children. Besides his wife he leaves two brothers, John of Neillsville and Bruno of the town of Grant and one sister, Mrs. Albert Hemp of Neillsville. One brother August preceded him in death.
Mr. Dudei was a man of fine character, honest, upright and industrious, and was liked and respected by all who knew him.
The funeral was held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from Schiller’s Funeral Home and at 2 o’clock at Maple Works Lutheran Church, Rev. Carl Hoeh officiating.
*Mrs. Martha Worchel was married to Karl Worchel. Martha’s maiden name is Riedel .
