Raether, Albert (*1856 - 1932) * Could be off
Relatives here received a telegram that Albert Raether died at Livermore, Calif., Sunday. Mr. Raether was for many years a resident of this locality. He cleared up and developed what is now the Dahnert farm in Levis, selling this about the year 1901. He then bought the farm of Mrs. R. King immediately east of the fair grounds some years later selling this place to Aug. Roder. He then moved to Milwaukee, then to East Troy and later to California.
Many of his old friends here will grieve to learn of his death. He leaves two sons, Frank of Livermore, Calif., Alvin of Oakfield, Cal., two daughters, Mrs. Fred Wendt of the town of York and Elsie, Mrs. Art Johnson of Waukegan, Ill.; also five grandchildren. He was about 75 years of age. He is survived also by his wife, who before their marriage was Elizabeth Oldham of the town of Levis.
The daughter, Mrs. Wendt, was called last week and was with her father before he died.
