Schwitchenberg, John (12 Jan. 1855 - 5 March 1932)
John Schwitchenberg passed away at his home in Neillsville Saturday, March 5, aged 77 years, one month and 25 days. He was born in Germany, Jan. 12, 1855. About 40 years ago he came to America and lived for a time in Chicago. While there he married Mrs. Joseph Felser who survives him. About 20 years ago they moved to Clark County and settled on a farm south of Neillsville, later moving to the city.
Mr. Schwitenberg was a man of quiet habits and respected by all who knew him. Besides his wife, he leaves five children, Martha, John, Helen, Otto and Delbert. One son Fred was killed in the World War. He leaves also three step sons, Joseph, Paul and Bernard Felser; also 11 grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Schiller’s Funeral Home, Tuesday, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
