Eisentraut, Matilda (10 Aug. 1858 - 11 April 1932)
Mrs. Chas. Eisentraut, passed away at her home in this city, Monday April 11; her death resulting from an accidental fall, followed by a stroke of paralysis. Matilda Hanchman was born in Washington County, Wisconsin, Aug. 10, 1858. She lived there until 1876 when she was married to Chas. Eisentraut and moved to Clark County and lived on the farm now occupied by their son, Alvin, until 1912, when they moved to Neillsville.
Six children were born to them, two dying in infancy; those living being Agnes, Mrs. Philip Haag of Sheboygan county; Ida, Mrs. Alfred Drescher; Elsie, Mrs. Walter Gerhardt, and Alvin all in the town of Grant. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Anton Unger, and two brothers, Herman and Wm. All of Neillsville. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was a lady loved and respected by all who knew her. She was a member of the Ladies’ League of the Congregational church and was a regular attendant at the church services.
The funeral will be held at the Congregational church, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
