Boyer, David (26 July 1859 - 27* April 1932) * Could be off

David Boyer was born at Dale, Wisconsin on July 26, 1859 where he also grew to manhood. On Dec. 14, 1886 he entered holy wedlock with Miss Wilhelmina Sievert of Fremont, Wis. The young couple made their home at Dale until the following spring, and then moved to Clark county and settled on a farm in the town of Seif, located northwest of Globe. There they lived for 38 years, coming to our city in the fall of 1925. Mr. and Mrs. Boyer shared life’s journey for 45 years, 4 months and 13 days. Their union was blessed with 10 children, three sons and seven daughters; two sons in infancy and two daughters at the ages of 5 and 19 years preceded the father in death. Mr. Boyer suffered no pin in his last illness and on last Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock he closed his eyes in death, having attainted the age of 72 years, 9 months and 1 day.

Those who mourn his death are the widow; one son George on the home farm in Globe; five daughters; Marie, Mrs. Edward Dorschner of Oshkosh; Rose, Mrs. Frank Reibe of Wilton, N. D.; Clara, Mrs. Ernest Horn of Helenville, Wis.; Ella, Mrs. Frank Casper, Edgar, Wis.; Lila, Mrs. Archie Begley of Poynette, Wis.; two brothers, August of Hortonville and George of Santa Anna, Calif.; and 19 grandchildren.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2 o’clock at St. John’s Lutehran Church. Rev. Wm. Baumann officiating. All of the children except Mrs. Riebe was present.

The pall bearers were Joseph Schwickrath, Aug. Milbreit, Herman Kunkel, Wm. Kuenkel, Frank P. Hemp, Albert Hemp.
