Bird, Jesse Rose (19 March 1916 - 5 May 1932)
Jessie Rose Bird passed away at her home Thursday evening, May 5, at 6 o’clock, after a lingering illness, at the age of 16 years, 1 month and 16 days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bird.
Jessie was born in the town of Weston on March 19, 1916. She leaves to mourn her loose her parents, one sister, Wilma and one brother, Ernest. Also a host of relatives and friends. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Congregational Church, Rev. Longenecker officiating.
Those who attended the funeral from away are: Mr. and Mrs. Wencil Landsinger, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. W. Landsinger, Jr., Jos Landsinger and Mrs. Wm. Plachetka, all of Wonewoc; Mr. and Mrs. Gus. Mueller and daughter Evelyn and son Junior of Port Edwards, Wisconsin.
The pallbearers were Dale Armitage, Wilbur Bardell, Frederick Wendt, Everest Schaefer, Gordon Hannah and Alfred Boone. The flower girls were Dorothy Armitage, Marcella Schaefer, Lucille Lueck and Mildred Simek.
The entire community joins in sympathizing with the bereaved family.
Jessie was much loved by teachers and schoolmates and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed in the home and community.
