Walker, Mary Ellen (26 July 1863 - 1932)
Mary Ellen Walker whose maiden name was Lynch was born July 26, 1863 at Pewaukee, Wis. For several year during her young womanhood she taught in the North Side grades in Neillsville. Among her pupils and patrons are many who remember he with much affection and respect.
In 1890 she was married to Charles C. Walker and started housekeeping in Boston, Mass., living there 25 years. They then returned to Clark county and lived for some time on a farm near Tioga. Her husband died soon after they came back here.
Mrs. Walter spent the last ten years of her life at Mendota, Wis., to be near her son who has been in the Wisconsin Memorial hospital since his service in the World War. Since October 1931, she has been with her daughter at Oak Park, Ill.
She is survived by her two children, Charles C. Walker, Jr., and Josephine Walker Williams.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic church Thursday morning, Rev. Peter Weber officiating. Burial took place in St. Mary’s cemetery.
