Hagen, Peter (27 Sept. 1868 - 22 May 1932)

Peter Hagen passed away at his home near Neillsville at 9:30 Sunday evening, May 22, after a long illness of a year and a half, following a mastoid operation from which he near fully recovered.

Mr Hagen was born at Guldbransdalen, Norway, Sept. 27, 1868. He came to Minnesota in 1893 and worked on farms there, later coming to Neillsville buying the land into which he developed a very nice farm; where he has since resided.

May 4, 1904, he was married to Helen Gullikson at Neillsville and at once they went to housekeeping on his farm. Three years ago they celebrated their silver wedding.

He was a loving and kind husband and father and his host of friends and neighbors mourn his passing.

He leaves his wife and four children: Oscar of Portland, Oregon; Erna, Mrs. George Freezy; Theodore and Esther at home. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. C. Moen, Neillsville and one sister in Norway and one brother Hans in Minnesota.

The funeral will be held today, (Wednesday) May 25, at 2 p.m. at the Norwegian church, Rev. M. K. Aaberg of Greenwood officiating.
