Jacob, Robert I. (3 May 1870- 6 June 1932)
Robert Jacob was born on May 3, 1870, and died at the Neillsville hospital on June 6 after a short illness. He reached the age of 62 years, 1 month and 3 days. His boyhood he spent in Chicago. He came to Neillsville in 1893, in 1896 he was married to Miss Augusta Kranz and settled on a farm in the town of Weston. This was his home until about two years ago when they moved to their new home in Neillsville.
Mr. Jacob was a man of high character, respected by all who knew him. He leaves his wife, two sons, Paul and Alvin, one-grandson, Robert, two brothers and many other relatives, and a host of friends to mourn his death. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the Reformed church, Rev. Vornholt officiating.
Those from away to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jacob and son Robert; Mr. and Mrs. William Jacob; Mrs. Herman Jacob, Mrs. Doctor Wm. Young, all of Chicago; and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schroeder of Hillsboro.
