Alden, Mabel (Marriage - 28 May 1932)
Mr. Olger Bromer of Durand and Miss Mabel Alden of Neillsville were quietly married at 2 o’clock Saturday, May 28, at the little Norwegian church, twenty miles out of Durand. The bride’s mother, Mrs. E. W. Alden and her sister, Miss Alice Alden were in attendance, Mr. Laird Ross of Greenwood taking them over by auto. The bride and groom and Mr. and Mrs. Alden drove to Waukesha, Sunday, to visit at the home of the bride’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Neverman. The newlyweds returned to Durand, Tuesday, where they will reside.
The bride grew to womanhood here, graduated from high school and teachers training school, taught a year at Elmwood and this year at Durand. She has a host of friends here who join in extending best wishes to the young couple. The groom is the manager of a creamery at Durand and is highly spoken of by all who know him.
