The Petter House and barn at Unity was destroyed by fire, last Saturday night. It was owned and occupied by M. H. DuCate and was built away back in the 70's by J. A. Pettet and used for the first few years as a hardware store. Later Mr. Petter had it remodeled and conducted a hotel. Two years ago he sold it to Mr. DuCate, who occupied it until it was destroyed.
