50th Anniversary (Mr. & Mrs. Glen Snow- Apr 8, 1939) Glen Snows, Chili, are Honored Friday at Campbell Home Mr. and Mrs. Glen Snow, Chili, whose marriage was performed 50 years ago, celebrated their golden wedding yesterday at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Campbell, 1104 S. Maple St. Mr. and Mrs. Campbell entertained at open house for the couple, who were greeted and congratulated by numerous friends and relatives throughout the evening. Baskets and vases of yellow jonquils and other cut flowers decorated the residence, and a three tiered cake graced the center of the table. Wedding cake and coffee were served during the evening. Among those calling were Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Harrington and family, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. William Keppert and Mrs. Lindsey Clark, Nasonville; Elsie Montage, Jessie Spry, Ethel Hogenson, Mrs. Cora Dow, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Coffin, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Davis and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Selk, Mrs. Anna Montag, and Mrs. Sophie Reusch, all of Chili. Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Thiel, Mr. and Mrs. William Becker, Mrs. Jennie Cattanach, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Garvue, Mr. and Mrs. Waite Wilcox, and Mr. and Mrs. Neil Nolt, all of Marshfield. Glen Snow was born in Hastings, Mich. on March 22, 1860, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey H. Snow. The family moved to Alma Center when he was still a child, and in 1866 came to Clark County. Mrs. Snow, the former Elmyra Davis, was born at Shantytown, Wis., on July 3, 1869, and came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Davis, to this vicinity when she was a child. Mr. and Mrs. Snow were married here on April 7, 1889, by Justice William Bartells. They made their home with his invalid father for one year, and later purchased the George Waterman farm on the Wood-Clark County line, about three-quarters of a mile north of Highway 10. In 1916 they sold their farm and purchased a home in Chili, where they have resided since.

Three children were born to them: Ivan, who died in infancy, Lolo, now Mrs. Ronald Campbell, city; and Glenola, Mrs. Clifford Harrington, Chippewa Falls. There are five grandchildren: Barbara Ann and Jimmy Harrington and Scott, Roger, and Bobby Campbell.

Mrs. Snow has served as recorder for the Goldenrod Camp, Royal Neighbors of America, at Chili for many years. Mr. Snow is manager of the town hall in Chili.
