Grottke, Mr. and Mrs. William (25th Wedding Anniversary, Sept. 7, 1916)
West Fremont -- Mrs. and Mrs. William Grottke were honor guests at a silver wedding anniversary celebration held at their home on Sunday evening. The evening was spent socially and refreshments were served.
Mr. and Mrs. Grottke, who were married on Sept. 7, 1916, received many gifts, and the house was decorated with fall flowers. A large wedding cake and silver streamers and nut cups adorned the table.
Those present for dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Knoll, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grottke, son, Lewis, and daughters, Ethel and Ruth, Granton; Miss Gertrude Grottke, Miss Alma Pushek, and Wallie Luedtke, La Grange, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Pushek, daughter, Ethel and son, Clarence, Ernie Grottke, and Miss Edith Grottke, Fairdale, Ill,; Miss Lucille and Lorayne Ledebuhr, Wauwatosa; Mr. and Mrs. Ole Heggelund and son, Arnold, and daughter, Kathryn, Chili.
The following guests were entertained in the evening: Mr. and Mrs. William Wagner, Mr. and Mrs. George Wagner and son, Billy, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Sanger, daughters, Evelyn and Mildred, and son, Elmer, Chili; Mr. and Mrs. William Weichelt. (rest of copy cut-off)
