Loraine Weis, 88, formerly of Spencer, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at Neillsville Memorial Home. Maurina/Community Funeral Home, Spencer, is assisting the family with arrangements.

SPENCER -Loraine U. Weis, 88, formerly of Spencer, died Sunday, Dec., 19, 2004, at Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville.
Services for Loraine will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. The Rev. Charles Stoetzel will officiate. Friends May call one hour before service time. Burial of remains will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield.
Loraine was born Nov. 3, 1916, to Clarence Roy and Bertha (Lahr) Miller. She graduated from McKinley High in Marshfield in 1936. She married Reinhold Weis on April 10, 1937, at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in the town of Sherman. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, crafts and playing cards and loved watching the birds.
Loraine is survived by her four children, Eleanor (Melvin) Johnson of Marshfield, Sylvester (Mary Jane) Weis of Chili, Charles (Grace) Weis of Marshfield and Gertrude (Robert) Jicinsky of Stratford; and 23 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reinhold, on July 3, 1971; brother, James C. Miller; and a sister in infancy.
