NEILLSVILLE -Richard H. Wuerzberger, 73, of Neillsville died Saturday at his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Neillsville. Burial will be in Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in King.
The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
He was born March 6, 1931, in Milwaukee to Harvey and Ellen (Brown) Wuerzberger. He married Lavern Lebie, who preceded him in death. He married Mary Wulff on Jan. 2, 2002, in Neillsville. He served with the U.S. Army Medical Corps in Germany, Korea and Vietnam from 1947 to 1969. He moved to Neillsville in 1979, where he drove school bus and operated a tavern.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Wuerzberger, Neillsville; daughter, Cynthia Carlin, Milwaukee; son, Donald Wuerzberger, Milwaukee; stepchildren, Larry Shepard, Prentice and Sue (Roger) Spanjee, Neillsville; brother, James (Peggy) Wuerzberger, Stanton, Va.; two sisters, Jeanne (Robert) Walthers, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Judy (Jeff) Moffatt, River Pines, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
