Cook, Donald A. (2 JAN 1925 - 20 Jul 1984)
Unity, Wis. - Unity native Donald A. Cook, 59, of 6900 Bluebell Road, Town of Rib Mountain, brother of Warren Cook of Marshfield and Rodrick Cook of Colby, Wisconsin, died Friday afternoon at Wausau Hospital Center.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Helke West Chapel, Wausau. The Rev. Frank Drollinger of Wesley United Methodist Church, Wausau, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mosinee Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and from 4 p.m. until time of services Monday.
He was born Jan. 2, 1925 in Unity, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Ida) Cook. He married Eva Washburn March 5, 1946 in Mosinee. She survives.
He was an equipment operator for the Marathon County Highway Department. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Navy in the Pacific. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burns Post 368, Wausau.
Also surviving are four sons, Donald Jr. of Wausau, Colin of Wausau, Roger of Manawa and Keith of Marathon; three daughters, Mrs. Randall (Kathleen) Klemp of Tomahawk, Mrs. Henry (Eileen) Zinser of Wausau and Mrs. Bill (Christine) Kriewaldt of Wausau; a brother, Orland of Wenatchie, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Jean) Gardner of Withee and Mrs. Joe (Elinor) Reamy of Barryville, Va., and 20 grandchildren.
