Tesmer, Minnie (26 SEP 1851 - 8 Feb 1934)
Colby, Wis., Feb 9 - Mrs. Paul Tesmer, 82, a resident of this community for the past 45 years, died from infirmities of advanced age at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Conrad Orth, Thursday evening at 7 o'clock.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, and interment will be in the Colby Cemetery beside her husband, who preceded her in death 17 years ago. Rev. O. H. Hoffman will officiate.
Mrs. Tesmer, nee Minnie Hasleu, was born in Germany Sept. 26, 1851, and at the age of three years came to America with her parents and located at Watertown, where she was married and lived a number of years.
Forty-five years ago she and her husband came to Colby and bought the homestead which is now the Edward Becker farm, two miles west of Colby. Since her husband's death Mrs. Tesmer has made her home with her children.
Surviving are nine children, William Tesmer, Green Grove; John Tesmer, Gilman; Herman Tesmer, Neillsville; and Paul, Colby; Mrs. John Pribnow and Mrs. Conrad Orth, Colby; Mrs. Minnie Fricke, Green Grove; Mrs. J. P. Olson, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Bertha Dahlke, state of Oregon. One sister, Mrs. Pauline Augustine, Neenah, and 33 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren
