Frank Bohte was born in Rib Lake, Wisconsin. His mother, Anna Plautz, was born in Doblice 34, Slovenia. (In Slovenia they count the houses and that is your "street" address.) Joseph Bohte's sister married Louis Plautz, my grandfather's first cousin from Calumet, Michigan. The Bohte's and Plautzes originally Calumet, Michigan. Stephen Plautz, my grandfather, Anna Plautz, and Frank Bohte knew each other as they came from the same region in Slovenia.
