Rowley, Dorothy (25 Augl 1928)
Dorothy Rowley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Rowley and Carl F. Olson of Canton were united in marriage last Saturday August 25th. The ceremony took place at the home of the bride’s parents at high noon and was performed by the Rev. D. C. Elmer of Ladysmith.
The bride was attended by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Edward Rowley, and the groom by the bride’s brother, Edward Rowley.
Immediately after the ceremony a wedding dinner was served, only immediate relatives being present.
The bride was reared to young womanhood here. She graduated with the class of 1925 from our local Public High School and has taught school at Holcombe and Stanley during the past two years. She is a young lady of refinement and noble character, dearly loved by all who know her.
Mr. Olson is a stranger to most of our people. He is the son of Mrs. Olson of Canton where he enjoys the friendship of a host of people. He is a man of good business judgment and strong character.
Mr. and Mrs. Olson left for Canton Saturday evening where they will make their home.
Hearty congratulations and best wishes are extended the newly weds.
