I am one of George R. Brooks Great granddaughters., and I believe if what my Father had said is true, that he May have been sheriff at the time this photo was taken. At anyrate, we know he ran in 1908. Also from what Dad said, that the family lived in the building.
I have a copy of the election bill with great granddad's photo on it if you're interested.
