paraphrased) It has pleased God
Almighty to take form this vale of tears until himself, Joseph

taken severely ill about a week ago and felt that would be his last
illness and made ? arrangements, called Rev. Keiper to make his a
sick ? and to prepare him for Holy Communion, also to help him set
his house in order because he felt at his time on earth would soon
come to a close and because God in His word has told us that the
day of death is bound to come, for it is written, "It is appointed
unto everyone once to die, but after this the judgement." Mr. Schafer's wife
died in 1906. He again married in 1919 to Amelia Kruger
Brunner. He is survived by
his widow and the following children: Mrs. ? Aplin and George of
Hilbert, Wis., Mrs. Emma Schaffer and Adolph of Chippewa Falls, and

were conducted Wednesday morning from his home near Abbotsford by
Rev. Kieper. The body was then shipped to Brillion, where interment
took place. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
