07/25/1924 Braun, Emil (31
AUG 1887 - 18 Jul 1924) Emil Braun,
youngest son of Mrs. John Braun, fell off from a load of hay about
half past two last Friday afternoon, breaking his neck and dying a
short time after. The sad accident occurred two and one half miles
southeast of Abbotsford on the farm of his brother, Otto, while he
was helping haul in hay from the field. Emil John Braun
was born August 31, 1887, on his parents farm a few miles west of
the village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) and lived with them
until the death of his father twelve years ago, at which time the
farm was sold, his mother moving into town, and Emil going to live
with Otto. He was 36 years, 10 months and 17 days old at the time
of death. Funeral services
were held Monday from the Otto Braun farm home and evangelical
Peace Church here, Rev. Bizer officiating, the pallbearers being
Clarence Wiedenhoft, Elmer Schrautnagle, August Nagel, Gernet
Osterman, Gillen Gyll and Peter Appfelbeck. Besides his
mother, he leaves to mourn his loss, two sister, Mrs. Ben Lewis of
Minneapolis and Mrs. John Rau of this village, and one brother,
Otto, with whom he was living. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
