CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 11/21/1924 Georgas, Arthur C.
(10 Feb 1884 - 14 NOV 1924) Arthur C. Georgas
died at his home at Spencer last Friday after a short illness of
heart trouble and was buried from the M. E. Church on Monday. Arthur C. was the
son of Mrs. Fredricka Georgas and was born in Dorchester, Clark
County, Wis. country Feb. 10, 1884, and lived with the home folks
until he reached man's estate. For a number of
years he worked in the general store owned by Wells and Chase, and
was a great favorite with all who came in contact with him. Later
he went to Hawkins and in 1913 moved to Spencer where he opened a
furniture store and undertaking parlor, which he conducted up to
the time of his death. On Nov. 10, 1909,
he was united in marriage to Miss Matilda Sedlack, a Dorchester
young lady, and this union was blessed with 3 children, Dorothy,
Elmer, and Isabelle, who with their mother survive him. Besides there, he
is survived by his aged mother, living in this village, and sister,
Bertha Georgas of Colby. Those of our
Dorchester readers who knew Arthur will remember him as a fine
upright man, well liked by all who had any business dealings with
him. Dorchester friends
join us in offering condolence to the bereaved. Albert Mertz of
Chicago, and Martin Mertz of Detroit, Mich., cousins of the
deceased, were at Spencer to attend obsequies. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
