Enterprise) James Polley,
after whom the village of Polley was named, died Monday at the
Luther Hospital at Eau Claire, to which institution he was taken
about three weeks ago, suffering from pneumonia. Fifty-three years
ago Mr. Polley built his first residence in Eau Claire on the
property now occupied by the Luther Hospital. He was 76 years of
age and after leaving Eau Claire has made Polley his home until his
