CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) 02/27/1925 Johnson, Karena
(15 May 1840 - 20 Feb 1925) Mrs. Ole Johnson
died at the farm home of her son, John H., west of the village
(Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.), Friday, Feb. 20th, 1925 at the
age of 84 years, 8 months and 5 days. Services were held
at 1 o'clock Monday at the home and at St. Peter Lutheran Church an
hour later, Rev. V. M. Keiper officiating. Interment took place at
the cemetery south of the village. Karena Larson was
born in Sweden May 15th, 1840 and grew to woman's estate there. She was united in
marriage to Olavas Fransen and one son was born to them who lived
only two short years. In 1880 Mr. and
Mrs. Fransen came to the United States where he died two years
later. In 1891 she was
united in marriage to Ole Johnson and has resided in Dorchester
country ever since, excepting six months when they were at
Wittenberg. No one can
estimate the value in this world of a kindly, Christian woman like
Mrs. Johnson, whose life is a benediction to those about and the
world is truly better for her having lived. She leaves to
mourn her loss, her husband, two step-children, eight grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren. The Clarion joins
their many friends in offering condolence. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
