Nicholas Horner of Beaver, and well know through this section of the county died at the home of Frank Horner, Wednesday evening February 22 at the age of 82 years.
The deceased was born in Germany in 1822. He was married to Miss Barbara Schafer and in 1847 they came to New York, later on moving to Two Rivers, Wisconsin, where he was employed as a tanner. From Two Rivers he moved to Beaver where he spent the remainder of his life.
Those left to mourn his loss are a sister, two children and twenty grandchildren.
The funeral was held Thursday February 24th. Rev. Wm. Lange of the Lutheran Church of Loyal officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Unity cemetery.
