A. S. Trow Dead
Alvis S. Trow, of Merrillan, died at the Battle Creek sanitarium on Thursday of last week. The remains were taken to Berlin where they were interred under the rites of the Masonic lodge, of which he had long been a member. As a mark of respect to the deceased the business places of Merrillan were closed during the time of the funeral which was held Saturday afternoon. Mr. Trow had been closely identified with Merriallan and Jackson county for many years and has also been a prominent lumberman of central Wisconsin, Mr. Trow leaves a large estate, the most of it going to his two brothers. His wife died in 1907.
