Rau, Helen D. (14 Dec. 1919 - 24 Jan. 2005) MEDFORD -Helen D. Rau, 85, of Medford died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Medford.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford. Burial will be in Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hemer Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
She was born Dec. 14, 1919, in the town of Greenwood to Max and Bessie (Berg) Peche. She married Henry Rau on July 29, 1933. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1994. For most of her life, she was a homemaker and helped her husband in the ownership and operation of Rau's Body and Repair shop from 1955 until their 1993 retirement.
Surviving are her daughter, Mabel (John) Hartwig, Medford; two sons, Ted (Helen) Rau, Medford, and Allen Rau, Wisconsin Rapids; five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; and her brother, Leonard Peche, Medford.
