Francis Joseph Szczech, 68, 10904 County Hwy H, Town of Delmar, Stanley, WI. died Monday, February 11,2002 at his home.

Francis was born on September 4, 1933 to Joseph and Bernice (Symbal) Szczech. He attended area schools and later joined the U.S. Army. After serving in the military, he married Ramona Ogurek on September 27, 1959 at St Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp, WI. They bought the family farm in 1961 and together with his family, farmed until 1996. He then moved to his present resident on County Hwy H where he resided until his death.

He is survied by his wife, Ramona of Stanley, WI: three sons: David (Cindy), Don (Kris) and Dean all of Stanley, WI; 3 grandchildren: Duane, Brianna and Brian; 2 step-grandchildren: Amber and Heather; four sisters: Joanne (George) Konieczny of Marshfield, WI, Carol (John)Szmanski of Marshfield, WI, Stephanie (Frank) Kotecki of Eau Claire, WI and Mary (Bill) Boh of Marshfield, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Joseph.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 13, 2002, 10:30 a.m. at St Mary's Czestochowa Catholic Church (rural Stanley) with Rev. John Puerner officiation, burial was in the parish cemetery.

Visitation was held on Tuesday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the Plombon funeral Home, Stanly with an 8:00 p.m. Rosary.
