We have at hand a program for a debate given at the west Allis High School auditorium between West Allis and Cudahy, West Allis affirmative and Cudahy negative, on Feb. 25, but the thing of interest to us was the fact that Joseph Jantsch coached the affirmatives and of course they won. On the same night West Allis negative and Cudahy affirmative debated at Cudahy and there also West Allis won. Mr. Jantsch has charge of the debating and public speaking in West Allis High and the above event for which they were busy for two months preparing for, speaks highly for Mr. Jantsch. The school is in a $900,000 structure and has an enrollment of 1,400 pupils.
Joe has also played a part in judging debates in the Milwaukee high schools and at Carroll College. About two weeks ago he was selected as one of the members on the District Board of the Wisconsin Debating League of the state.
Naturally Dorchester is proud when one of her native sons does something worth while and we've surely a right to feel proud of Joe and expect him to make us more proud of him as time goes on.
