Our school began August 29, with an enrollment of twenty-five pupils. We have eleven in the 7-8 greades and four first grades.
Visitors for the first week of school were Teddy Zajac, Leon Haletek, Edna Larson, Donald Ingham, who teaches the Butlerville school and Jennie Larson.
Mrs. Voight brought us our new books and new maps which the board ordered for us during the summer months.
We have pretty autumn leaves basket of goldenrod, a harvest filed scene and apple branches as decoration for the month of September.
Pupils having highest scores in their studies for the first week of school are Arlene Palms, Charlie Perushek, Eunice Knops, Doris Larson, Casimer Zajac, Maxine Pritchett and Ellis Van Horn.
Our Grammar Class wrote letters to pupils of Globe school and are expecting an answer.
Mr. Pritchett pumped out our well Tuesday and brought us a new water pail.
Our business meeting was held Friday afternoon and the following people were elected: Charles Peruskeck, Pres.; Annie Perushek, Vice President and Casimer Zajac, Secretary.
