Back from Germany
John Durst, who left here for a visit in Germany, June 2, returned home Monday. He reports times in Germany no worse than here. Food prices are about twice as high there as here.
Mr. Durst was there when the election was held in Germany June 30. He states that the political turmoil is most confusing 25 political parties struggling for power. They seem so badly split up that it is hard to accomplish anything.
Considerable public building is going on more than in this country. Holland and Switzerland are comparatively quiet and prosperous.
Mr. Durst visited relatives a few weeks in Philadelphia on his return and stopped a few days in Indiana.
